Some clubs will be running tryouts for club travel teams from mid September. NC KAT will still hold tryouts on the original tryout dates (the same as previous years).
- We do not wish to pressure our players/families into making club decisions in September, at a still very uncertain time with regards to covid19
- We do not wish to pressure our families into making financial decisions in September - club team fees can be a major expense for most families
- There is still a lot of uncertainties with regards to schools being able to offer a volleyball season
- If schools offer a volleyball season that may impose a conflict with club team practices and we are unable to provide parents with a clear practice schedule in September
- Due to so many uncertainties we are unable to provide FINAL team guides with firm dates / costs by the middle of September
- We plan to provide parents with team guides DRAFTS by the end of September
- The club is offering very good training for our KAT players during September/October which will bridge the gap until November at a reasonable cost
- Players also have the option to train with our coaches at privates and semi-private lessons during September & October
- We believe there will be no impact on our ability to assemble strong teams by the original tryout dates given that the majority of our players are already acquainted with each other
- We believe that, as any other year prior to 2020, KAT can provide excellence of training in November and December so that our teams will be ready for competitions from Jan 2021
- Although many tournaments are planned for 2021, there is still no guarantee that club teams can compete in January 2021 - especially if there are conflicts with school team season
